Privacy Policy for Point Me At It

Point Me At It ("we," "our," or "us") is designed to work primarily on your device. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your choices.

1. Data We Access

1. Precise location and compass heading while you use the app.
2. Camera access only for AR guidance mode.
3. Place search input and map selection context when you use place lookup features.

2. How We Use Data

1. Location and heading are used to calculate bearing and distance to your selected target.
2. Camera is used to render on-device AR guidance overlays.
3. Place search and map lookup are used to find and confirm destination targets.

3. Place Lookup and Apple Services

Place lookup features use Apple MapKit services, such as Apple Maps search APIs. When you use place search or map lookup, relevant request data is processed by Apple to return results.

We do not run our own place-search backend.

4. Data Stored On Your Device

1. Saved targets including name, latitude, longitude, and created or updated timestamps.
2. App settings and preferences, such as selected guidance mode, map type, and AR UI preferences.
3. The selected active target identifier.

5. Data Sharing and Selling

1. We do not sell your personal data.
2. We do not share your data with data brokers or advertising networks.
3. We do not use third-party analytics or ad SDKs in the current app implementation.
4. We do not operate developer servers for app data in the current implementation.

6. Tracking

We do not track you across apps or websites for advertising purposes.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

1. Saved targets and local settings remain on your device until you remove them.
2. You can delete saved targets at any time in the app.
3. You can revoke permissions anytime in iOS Settings:
   • Location: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Point Me At It
   • Camera: Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera > Point Me At It
4. Removing the app removes app data stored locally by the app, subject to iOS backup and restore behavior.

8. Children's Privacy

The app is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children for profiling, advertising, or sale.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The effective date will reflect the latest version.
